QUANTUM-POLARITY
(continued)

KERRY VON ERICH

Born Kerry Akkinson, one of six children of Jack Akkinson, also known as the legendary Fritz Von Erich, Kerry and his brothers were known as "Wrestling's First Family" and millions of fans followed their rise to glory. When reality finally knocked, it devastated the Von Erich family, taking five of the them from the wrestling world. By February 20, 1993, Kerry was a victim of a deep depression over the loss of his four brothers and a stumbling career, left behind him the greatest accomplishments the family ever had in the ring.

Kerry had a multitude of championship belts, including his two top prizes of an Intercontinental Championship, and a World Heavyweight Championship.

His downfall included a motorcycle accident and subsequent amputated foot, a forgery charge, and probation.

Solaris, realizing this was perhaps wrestling's greatest tragedy, went back in time to that fatal day in Texas and asked Von Erich to join him in the future for a chance to regain some of the glory of his early career, and Kerry Von Erich accepted.

MAGNUM TERRY ALLEN

Known as "Magnum T.A.", Terry Allen seemed to be destined for greatness. The experts felt he had 98 percent of what it took to be a Heavyweight Champion. He held the United States Championship in a major federation, and had a fabulous finishing move.

Reality had different ideas for Magnum: On October 14, 1986, a speeding accident took the use of most of the right side of Magnum's body as he suffered a horrible spinal cord injury. Magnum would regain the majority of the use of his right side eventually, but he never wrestled again.

Solaris traveled back in time to the moment Magnum climbed into his Porsche for the last time before the accident and asked Terry Allen to join him in the future. Magnum, thinking it was all a gag, agreed to join Solaris.

BRUISER BRODY

Who would have thought a wild and brutal wrestler going by the name "Bruiser Brody" would have his life ended in a dressing room in the summer of 1988?

Brody, apparently the aggressor in a struggle with a wrestler, passed away when the other wrestler stabbed him, later claiming in court that it was an act of self-defense. The jury agreed, and the only thing left of Brody was his reputation as one of wrestling's greatest brawlers.

Before the struggle which claimed Brody's life, Solaris appeared in the dressing room and posed the time travel question to a skeptical Brody. Taking a moment to laugh, Brody went with Solaris once he had heard that a former associate and friend (Kerry Von Erich) had already joined Solaris.

======== FUTURE POLARITY ========

Not to be trumped by Solaris, Magnus Colby heard of Solaris' activities in time travel and decided to do the same. Commissioner Carter intervened, forcing Colby to follow the same set of criteria as Solaris. Colby agreed, but managed to convince Carter to drop the "wrestlers that suffered tragedies" part and substituted only non-active wrestlers that at one time were under the Galaxy Wrestling Federation banner instead. Colby managed to secure contracts for Salvation & Sin in the year 2086, Infinity and Infinity-Plex in 3000, and Mangus in 2079.

Colby's curiously unstable stable lost its first member when Infinity bolted from camp and joined Solaris' ranks, thus making the odds even with each team having four members each.

SPECIAL UPDATE

Commissioner Carter has always prided himself in the fact that there is no double-standard in the fed in which he presides. However, mounting pressures from the rising of the new women's liberation groups stating a double-standard between treatment of men and women in wrestling has forced Commissioner Carter to announce the replacement of Solaris as manager of "Quantum Extreme" with a woman who would have once been called a "feminist". The woman in question is Ms. Missy Hyatt, once paraded around in the late 1980's and early 1990's for her sex appeal. She had a falling out (no pun intended) with a powerful wrestling organization over unflattering photos of her anatomy which were on display in the main office. Ms. Hyatt resented the fact that she had not been treated with respect she felt was due her, and made women's causes one of her main concerns.

Commissioner Carter felt that Ms. Hyatt was perfect to represent the women's movement in his federation. The Commissioner released Solaris as manager of "Quantum Extreme" and replaced him with Ms. Hyatt. Solaris contacted Missy Hyatt in 1994, and she was happy to agree to Solaris' proposal with the added stipulation that she would be treated with respect. Solaris agreed and Missy Hyatt became the new manager of "Quantum Extreme" while Solaris accepted an undisclosed office job higher up the corporate ladder.

Time will only tell if Solaris and Missy Hyatt both made wise choices.
