QUANTUM-POLARITY

The following is nearly word-for-word the Quantum-Polarity booklet I came up with that accompany the cards I invented and incorporated after 2096. There was an extra piece on Missy Hyatt (because she took over for Solaris), but I cannot find the article.

UPDATE: I have found the Missy Hyatt update and added to the next page.

======== FUTURE SHOCK ========

What exactly is Quantum-Polarity, you may ask? "Quantum" refers to "Quantum Extreme", Solaris' new team featuring wrestlers from the 1980's, while "Polarity" refers to "Future Polarity", Magnus Colby's reply to "Quantum Extreme".

How did all this come about, you may also ask? Read on and find out...

------------ QUANTUM EXTREME ------------

When Solaris retired as manager, he had no idea what the future had in store for him. Solaris, being a workaholic and with wrestling still in his blood, had too much time on his hands and asked Commissioner Carter if he could help with scouting reports for the wrestling federation. Carter agreed, and Solaris had a pile of video programs to review. Accidentally however, mixed in with the recent video programs was one about the rise of wrestling in the 1980's. Solaris watched with fascination at the size, speed, and skill of some of that era's best wrestlers. He then realized that with the new Time Laws being more relaxed, he could bring some of that era's greatest wrestlers to wrestle the present-day grapplers. He proposed the idea to Commissioner Carter, but Carter was hesitant to undertake such an action, fearing the wrestlers from the past would not like being taken from their families and their own time against their own free wills. Solaris accepted this, but continued to learn all he could about wrestlers from a time long past. Solaris realized that the wrestlers from the 1980's were the first ones in wrestling history to match up well with the current day crop.

One day, as he was watching the legendary Von Erichs and their doomed dynasty crumble, Solaris had another idea. He went to Carter, explained that he could go back in time and stop tragedies such as the Von Erichs from happening and bring them up to wrestle in this time. Carter agreed, but with the following stipulations:
1--Wrestlers could be taken only from their own time if first they agreed to go;
2--Wrestlers must be returned to the exact point in time that they had been lifted from (prior to Solaris' first contact), thus preventing a disruption from the Original Time Line;
3--All the memories of future events must be erased to prevent disruption of the Future Time Line;
4--Full disclosure of the wrestler's fates would be available to them if they wanted to learn about what was going to happen apon their return to their own times, even if this knowledge was to be ereased before they were to return to their own time;
5--Only wrestlers whose careers were cut short by tragedy were eligible for time displacement;
6--Solaris himself would have to manage the wrestlers brought up from the past.

Agreeing to these conditions, Solaris used Carter's time machine, and brought with him a memory erasers that was usually used on Kronus. When he was finished, Solaris amassed threee of wrestling's top names from the 1980's.
